the second leg

And it's a long leg. We stayed with my parents for three weeks and we enjoyed our time together so much. The photo tour will have to continue for a few posts after this one. Here are some shots from the first few days:

Nothing like enjoying the backyard in the summertime.

Checking to see if the embers are just right for roasting.

Cherry picking with Patricia!

A summer picnic with our friend, Phyllis.

Do we see a pattern with her face painting preferences? ; )

Such a goofball.

Amelia pitting some of the 7 lbs of cherries she picked all by herself.

Thanks, Patricia for taking us picking and for the use of your patio, pitter and dehydrators!
(We're still enjoying the fruits of our labor. har har har)

Zuccato creators.

Enjoyed by all! ♥

off she goes!

Amelia started kindergarten this morning! She smiled, waved and flashed the "I love you" sign as she stood in line with her classmates to start the first day of the rest of her school life. And I'm leaving her in the Lord's hands to protect and keep her.

Now Wyatt and I are trying to figure out what we're supposed to do. : )

Where to begin?

I guess we should begin where we left off. That means there will supposedly be a lot of posts for awhile. We've been having a splendid good time at home and away, and we've taken a ton of pictures.

So, we'll start off with the first leg of our trip up North... several weeks ago now! The kids and I flew into Portland and had a grand time with some of our relations there.

Saying goodbye to California.

Saying "hello" to cousins!

Balloons. They have such a fragile existence. Her first one floated to the top of the huge tree above her.

A handsome young man up in that huge tree.

Showing the kids all the fun places to play!

Playing games.

And then some more games.
Thanks for all your hospitality, relatives from Vancouver and War Zone! ; )
