The zoo, zoo, zoo...

A couple of weeks back we headed to the Los Angeles Zoo, courtesy of Amber and Benji and their parents guest passes. Aunt Lindsay was in town and we didn't have school on Columbus day. It was so much fun and we got to see almost all the animals. Although it was a hot day, they were all out and about. Some even gave us a show! ; )

The girls and their little brothers. : )

The girls watching the chimpanzee's show. I didn't get any photos of the chimps because I was too busy taking video. Watch below if you want some rip-roarin' primate entertainment.

After several photo attempts at the end of the day we got a decent one of most of us. : )

the seventh year

It's that time of year again! Here are pictures of Amelia and Morgan, dating back to the first day I officially started babysitting Morgan when she was 3 months old. It happened to be on October 23, which was also Morgan's Grandma Shirley's birthday as well. So this day will always be special to us, for more than one reason!

September

It's time to catch up! Here is at least part of our month of September:

Amelia made a sleeping bag for her doll. : )

Picking apples in Tehachapi... yum!

Wyatt had so much fun picking apples!

Amelia and our friend Noah started a soccer class this fall and they love it so far.

Wyatt has fun playing at the playground and with his soccer ball while the other kids are having their lesson. : )

Amelia, Noah and Amber starting off another set of tennis lessons.

The last one

Playing store at Mike and Melissa's house.
Papa D having a snuggle with the sweet baby that lives there.

Checking out the tasting room that Mike and Melissa opened (last summer it was still under construction when we visited.)
Long time friends. ♥

Their tasting room in a 100 year old building.
A visit with Steve & Maggie.
One of the great views from their new house.

Oil cake... yum!
We spent the evening watching heat lightning and the sunset and listening to the thunder.
A baby shower for Emily and Oliver.

Okay, check this out: my mom's "necklace" is a bee flying by. ha!
More fun with cousins on our last day.
