First Day of School!

We dropped off our babies at school this morning. Amelia could not be more excited, she has the same teacher she had for kindergarten, same classroom and all. So she took off like a shot and headed to class as soon as we got to campus. So much for a goodbye hug from her! Wyatt's room was crowded with parents as were the other kindergarten classes. He seemed to do pretty well. I'm sure we'll hear lots of stories when they get home today. :)

Road Trip: Zion & Bryce Canyons

After getting in a swim at the hotel in Vegas, we drove a couple of hours and did a quick tour of Zion National Park. It was beautiful! It's always a treat to get to see more of God's creation on a road trip.

Riding the tram

The water was cold, but it felt good! A nice sandy river bed.

We drove to Bryce Canyon and stayed in a cozy little cabin nearby. We did a short hike before heading in to the main park. Amelia was not really into it... and taking our shoes off to wade in this stream was a stark contrast to the day before at Zion. :) But we're glad we did it, another beautiful hot day and lots of red rocks (these tall columnar rocks are known as hoodoos).

Road Trip: Las Vegas

In all reality, in this day of technology I should have posted this from my phone when it happened. But I didn't. So here you have it now. :) In an effort to get to the wedding of my brother and his new bride, we set out on a road trip adventure to southern Idaho. It started with a very packed car and our first stop was Las Vegas. We had fun as there's lots to see you there, but in hindsight we won't be choosing to go there again, especially with children!

And we're off!

We got to stay in a castle. :)

They chose to spend some of their money from Grandpa Neil and Grandma Eileen at the M&M Store. :)

Having a Krispie Kreme in your hotel is definitely a benefit.
