beach, boots & crocs

Well, its just been the daily grind around here lately, so not much to report. We've had some nice sunny weather, so I've taken the girls down to the beach a couple of times to get out of the house. Its nice to have a big sandbox a few blocks away!

Amelia and Morgan got a package from PaPa and YaYa containing new hot pink Croc's. They had fun having me put them on and then taking them off again, a procedure we repeated several times.

Today we met Daddy for a picnic lunch near his work and Amelia had fun watching all the pigeons try to munch on the crumbs she dropped from the table. Mmmm.

california adventure

do you think she has a problem with people dressed up as someone else? : )

scrunch face!

'sad' face

Off to the land of Disney we went again. When we went for Kim's birthday a couple of weeks ago, they were doing a Southern California resident two for one deal. The deal was, go to one park one day (Disneyland) and you can go to the other park (California Adventure) a different day within 30 days. Not that you care, but there it is. We decided to brave the forecast as it was supposed to pour rain all day. We were fortunate; it only rained for about five minutes right when we got there. Our plan worked, nobody else was there because of the foreboding weather and we had no lines all day.

belated birthday's

We got to go spend the weekend at PaPa and YaYa's to celebrate the birthdays of Auntie CC, Aunt Dhasa and YaYa. It was quite a treat to have lovely weather and have all the boys chip in and make us dinner. And the rest of us all got presents from PaPa and Uncle Nick's quick trip to Nashville: Grand Ole Opry get up!

it's gonna be a...

boy! And his name is going to be... heh heh, you're not going to find out that easily! We've got to keep something a surprise. : ) Looks like we've got a healthy one so far, at least thats what the ultrasound showed today. Thank the Lord!

We've posted a short ultrasound video below, it is of him laying on his back, a profile of his head and belly and you can see his heart beating in the middle. We totally understand if don't comprehend a lick of it, ultrasounds are not easy to figure out.

disneyland

holding on for dear life

this tunnel sure is dark!

Friday was Kim's birthday, and we were able to join her and her family and friends for a day at the Happiest Place on Earth. The girls continued to be their usual selves, Morgan loving the rides and Amelia tightly hugging my neck through most of them. Some other friends and relations met up with us for dinner at Downtown Disney where we all enjoyed a very windy meal outside, nonetheless delicious!

Other news this past week... we had a quick visit from Pa Pa and Uncle Nick before they had to catch an early morning flight. Uncle Nick brought Amelia the cutest little pink cowboy boots. There are even a few little stars that light up when she walks around in 'em. Her legs are a little bit wide for them to zip up comfortably, but we'll have fun with them anyway! I didn't get a great picture of them, but this should suffice:

We also had a nice visit from Ya Ya, Aunt Lindsay and Gene on Saturday. Our usual Saturday lunch walk down to El Burrito Jr. was a little extra toasty as we're getting our annual January hot streak. Felt good though! Amelia was amped up all day playing and showing off for everyone. The fam stayed around for dinner and then headed home after it was time for Amelia to go to bed. We're thankful to have family that lives close enough to visit us often!
