last week

peek-a-boo!

trying to play catch

or was it football?

bride-to-be opening one of many of her gifts!

Amelia and I got to go down and visit the Miller's last Wednesday and go plant browsing. We found this nursery with the darling play house that Lucas and Jill were playing in. It even had a loft!

Morgan and Amelia had fun at the playground, as usual. I even tried to go around the twirly bar thing like I used to in 4th grade, but I discovered its a lot harder when you're way taller than you were in the 4th grade. I could still hang upside down by my knees though! : )

Juliana's shower was on Saturday and a nice time was had by all. They did it up right with a yummy brunch buffet and a delicious carrot cake. Craig and Juliana now have some nice stuff to get 'em started in their new house (hopefully escrow closed today!) and thier lives together.

keene on critters

Wilhelm flock

... wee, wee, wee, all the way home!

playing in the cat bed

Once again we headed to the greater Tehachapi area for the weekend. Uncle Doug, Aunt Rose and John Mark joined us at Grandpa and Grandma’s, an added bonus for all. We got to meet Darren and Rosanne’s newest addition, Kaden, at the shower put on at John & Becky’s (in Keene) on Saturday afternoon. He is so cute, and so little! He slept for most of the time we were there, but his sisters and their cousins kept Amelia occupied. As soon as Amelia saw Sierra, she said “Mo-mo!” very excitedly... I guess every baby she sees now she thinks is Morgan. : ) Amelia loved pushing the pink stroller and tending to all three of her passengers in it. At home all she gets to push is a dump truck. Back at Grandpa and Grandma’s she had fun playing with Husky, their most recent kitten addition, thanks to Uncle Nick.

weekend

getting ready for Pah-Pah & Grandma to come

on a mission to show the neighbor her pails

cheese (or as she says "chhhhhh")

We had fun with Grandpa and Grandma Adkins here on Friday and Saturday. Grandma and I got to go shopping while Grandpa and Daddy entertained Amelia at home. Other than that, we kinda took 'er easy the rest of the weekend, and of course, played some more outside. We've also been trying to keep up with the Olympics and therefore not getting to bed early enough!

summer fun

only in Newport Beach...
Kim and I went shopping at Fashion Island last week and saw these bizarre dogs, the poor things were very well behaved for having all that get up on. Should I report them to the Humane Society? By the way, is that a fanny pack that I see in the background?

a walk through Gum Grove Park

As you can see, Amelia enjoys being outside. Our vast front yard (the deck and sidewalk) is not the safest place to play, but she seems to enjoy it under watchful eyes. We've been walking, exploring a few new areas of Seal Beach we've never been. Today at the beach, Amelia had more fun unloading and loading all the sunscreen from my bag more than she did playing in the sand. She did brave walking in the sand in her bare feet all by herself, and got her feet and legs wet in the water without protest.
