Spokane, Part I

Okay, it's time to start knocking these blog posts out. Since I don't print pictures or make digital albums, someday I'll want to look back on these. After the wedding, Nathan drove home and the kids and I drove to Spokane with my parents. Following are a bunch of pictures kicking off our month long stay there.

It was so great to see my friend, Jill, she was "home" from Thailand where she serves the Lord with her husband and kiddos.

We headed to the Stateline Speedway for some patriotic early stock car racing with a demolition derby to boot!

Fun with some neighbors from the North (in other words, our Canadian neighbor's relatives).
We attended the library story time and as a bonus we got in on their build-a-thon a few times.
Straws and connectors are so fun!
Making daddy proud.
A Spokane summer is never complete without swimming at Arla's!
Exploring at Mobius Science Center

It's a bonus to run into friends there!

Transmitting sound through metal or something like that.
The traditional shortbread cookie from GG Marti.
I'm sad to report I didn't get a photo of her with the kids this time. :(
Lake Coeur d'Alene.
Wyatt and his cute buddy!
Aunt Elaine braving the cold water (it actually felt great on this hot, hot day) with her new niece and nephew.
Slurpees on 7/11.
Getting to drink soda (gasp!) and eat a Dick's hamburger in Grandpa's car.

Wow--lots of fun photos. You have quite the budding architect....or engineer : ) I guess his creations are too creative to be a boring old practical engineer. Amelia and your Mom look very similar in that picture of the two of them. And I love Ollie looking up at Wyatt in adoration. Too cute. I'm so glad you got to spend lots of time back "home" this summer!
