Mondello & Palermo

Friday we headed to stay at a B & B in Mondello, near Palermo (the largest city in Sicily). Despite the overcast/chilly weather, we went to the beach with the kids and they had a blast. We went to dinner in Palermo that night, and then did a little shopping there the next day.

Who says the Med doesn't have waves?
You just have to visit in March...

Uncle Gene the stroller pusher.

The opera house in Palermo.

Cheers to a lovely family. ♥

This fountain was such a magnet to him. He was a bit wet by the end of dinner.

The kids had a blast talking to "Josh" on the phone between our rooms.

Amelia trying on dresses in Palermo (you like-ah?).

I love how Amelia looks like a little princess in all the pictures. Looks like she is loving it all! What beautiful things you are seeing. Btw, Lucas bailed after shooting across the level middle part that he thought would stop him. He was headed right for his tree fort and thankfully managed to stop just before hitting it. We are no longer allowing hill sledding until we can figure out a safer(er) way to stop!

I guess I was thinking about the last picture and the ones in the previous post when I said she looked like a princess. She looks like a sweet little commoner in the others. :)

Tell Amelia the glass slipper in the last pic looks snug.

I hope you are taking the liberty of buying yourself lots of nice birthday presents while you're out shopping : )
